Start of the season

Today marked the start of the new season, seeing the Vixens take on div.2 team Reading Aces on the 1st round of the NVL cup.

A shakey start for our ladies, but expected with new players as they tried to jel as a team. In the second set their confidence and strengths came out and led the set till near the end. Unfortunately a run of good serves from the opponents took Reading ahead who eventually managed to win also the second set.
In the final part Vixens just couldn’t stop Reading’s serves and hits, who closed the match with a 3-0 win.
Despite the defeat there were some positives to be taken, as they prepare for the start of the league campaign.
Well done Ladies and get ready for the 2nd round now!
