Vale Volleyball Club has resumed its training sessions, which take place at Stoke Mandeville Stadium every Friday night from 7pm for free play till 8 then we start with drills and skills and squad play until 10pm, in preparation of the first game of the season 2016/2017 on Oct. 9th. This weekend, Pirates started the new season 2015/2016 with a great win against VK Barnet!
The young opponents managed to secure the 2nd set for 27-25, but the experience and strength of Pirates came through winning the 3rd and 4th set.
Excellent result also for the Vixens, beating Welwyn for 3-1, securing their first win of this season!

The FIVB Congress approved a change to the net contact rule:
The rule applies to both Volleyball and beach Volleyball so that contact with any part of the net by a player between the antennae, during the action of playing the ball, is now a fault (More Info).
